An Omaha Classic

This place is quite well-known, but it's been a favorite of mine for as long as I can remember. If anyone is visiting from out of town or is new to Omaha, I always tell them to go to Ted and Wally's. It's uniquely flavored, homemade, quality ice cream.

The most known location is in the Old Market, where it's been since two years after the founding in 1984- it was originally located down Interstate 80 in Lincoln. A few years ago, they opened a second location in Benson.


Their flavors range from Vanilla Bean and Dutch Chocolate to Salty Seahorse (my personal favorite) and Buttermilk Blue Cheese. They're always changing, but they post every morning on their Facebook feed what flavors are offered that day. You can check them out here.

Not only do they have some of the greatest traditional ice cream, but they're also committed to offering other options. They have vegan, yogurt, paleo, and no sugar added options on their 'Specialty' Menu and they have just as fun flavor options as the traditional ice-cream.

Ted and Wally's has been featured on so many lists for both it's unique flavors and the cute decor. It's the perfect end to a night in the Old Market or Benson and one place that can't be missed in Omaha.
